Those who have their ears to the streets, radio mix shows, and mixtapes know that Red
CafΘ is no overnight success story. æIÆve given people a lot of music on da
streets,..Æ says Red CafΘ, who answers to Red, or in the case of close friends, Izzr,
the name that adorns his name belts, platinum and diamond pendants and charm
bracelets. With a new distribution deal for his label Shakedown thru Universal and a
new mentor on the scene, Akon & Konvict Muzik, Red has finally gotten over the
obstacles that held his releases back as he readies for his debut release. The
Shakedown.., on Shakedown/Konvict. Red CafΘ is known throughout the industry as one
of its most successful ghostwriters. He has written for a lot of your favourite
rappers, including the hit æPass The CourvoisierÆ by Busta and P Diddy. After signing
to Loud Records, it folded. After that Chris Lighty of Violator Management was
shopping Red CafΘ along with 50 Cent in the hopes of securing a label deal with both
artists at the forefront. It this point Red received a few offers and decided to
leave Violator and sign a deal with Arista Records. The Arista deal spawned a few
hits like the Trackmasters produced æMay IÆ and æVirusÆ, and the Jermaine Dupri, Lil
Jon collobo æShowing Her ThongÆ. Red CafΘ tracks also landed on EA Sports Madden and
NBA Live titles. Arista then folded right before RedÆs release date. Red then moved
on to Capitol w/ music legend Mack 10Æs æHoo BanginÆ label that spawned the hit
æBling Bloaw w/ FabolousÆ and has led us to this point with Red CafΘÆs debut album
æThe ShakedownÆ dropping in 2007 on Shakedown/Konvict. Here UK mixtape DJÆs LATE &
